The Electrical Engineering programme is the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers study the uses of electricity and equipment for power generation and distribution. This dynamic field involves the design of electronic circuits and the development of systems such as aircraft autopilots and state-of-the-art computers. Micro-electronics, the manufacture and repairs of products like computers, microwaves and control systems, also fall within the ambit of Electrical Engineering.
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded au00a0Certificate of Achievement: N6 Electrical Engineeringu00a0from theu00a0DHET.
After students have completed this course, and submitted proof that they have gained 24 months of relevant practical experience, they will be awarded au00a0National N6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (360 credits).
