The Occupational Hygiene Legal Knowledge short course will provide you with the required legal and working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 (and relevant amendments) in order to prepare and apply for Approved Inspection Authorities (AIA) and/or SANSISO 17020 certification from the Department of Labour. The course is aimed at occupational hygienists, medical technologists and legal practitioners, and covers topics of legal terminology and processes, asbestos and lead regulations, environmental regulations for workplaces, regulations for hazardous chemical substances, noise-induced hearing loss regulations, as well as facilities regulations in preparation of the national AIA examination on legislation.
